Supermicro Launches Liquid-Cooled Nvidia B300 GPUs in Turnkey Rack Systems

DATA AND AI INFRASTRUCTURE

Supermicro has announced the availability of liquid-cooled 'Nvidia B300' GPUs from the 'Blackwell Ultra' generation in turnkey rack systems. The configurations include a conventional 19-inch rack accommodating up to 64 B300 GPUs across eight servers, each with four rack units.

The wider 21-inch version can house up to 144 GPUs, with eight GPUs per two rack units. The B300 GPUs replace the B200 chips as the flagship for AI applications, featuring nearly 50% more memory and a standard network bandwidth of 800 Gbps.

Each GPU has a maximum power consumption of 1100 watts, and the racks are designed for direct liquid cooling, effectively dissipating 98% of generated heat. The systems aim to enhance maintainability with independently removable GPU trays and blind-mate coolant distributors. These racks are part of Supermicro's 'Data Center Building Block Solutions,' offered as turnkey AI clusters with additional networking and power components.
