Supra Elemental Recovery Secures Funding to Innovate Rare Earth Filtration Technology
Supra Elemental Recovery, supported by a $250,000 investment from the University of Tennessee's Discovery to Impact Seed Fund, aims to revolutionize the recovery of high-purity minerals from mining waste, industrial byproducts, and electronic waste using a 3D-printed reusable filtration platform.

Supra Elemental Recovery Inc., a startup from the University of Texas at Austin, has launched with $250,000 from the Discovery to Impact Seed Fund. The company aims to commercialize its proprietary technology to recover critical high-purity minerals from U.S. waste sources, including mining residues and electronic waste.
The technology addresses the increasing demand for minerals like cobalt, lithium, gallium, and scandium, essential for high-tech industries. It involves a reusable 3D-printed cartridge that filters materials at the molecular level using simple solvents. This innovative approach aims to make mineral recovery more affordable and scalable while reducing reliance on foreign markets.
