Surfshark Unveils Dausos Protocol for Enhanced VPN Performance and Security
Surfshark has launched the Dausos VPN protocol, promising speeds up to 30% faster than existing protocols and enhanced quantum-secure encryption. This innovation is crucial for users seeking improved privacy and security against evolving cyber threats.

Surfshark's Dausos protocol offers a dedicated private tunnel for each user, improving performance and data isolation. The new architecture enables speeds that are 30% faster than current top VPN protocols, enhancing connection stability and reducing congestion.
Dausos features port randomization and a hybrid key exchange system for security, combining X25519 with NIST-approved ML-KEM encryption to protect against future quantum computing threats. The protocol supports post-compromise security, generating new encryption keys for every session.
An independent audit found no critical vulnerabilities. Currently, it is available for macOS, with broader support anticipated.
