A national survey indicates overwhelming support for biogas systems, particularly from residents living close to these facilities. This reflects a significant community endorsement for waste recycling and renewable energy initiatives.

A recent survey by the American Biogas Council indicates that 77% of American voters support expanding biogas capture in the U.S., with 74% favoring increased government investment. Residents living within two miles of biogas facilities express overwhelmingly positive views, with a 38-point net positive margin reported.
Among those aware of local systems, 50% view their impact positively compared to 12% negative. Additionally, those newly informed about biogas facilities reported a positive impression rate of 31% to 5%. The survey highlights the role of biogas systems in waste management and renewable energy production, reinforcing their status as beneficial community infrastructure.
