Suzlon Energy Enters Global 100 Index as One of World's Greenest Corporations
Suzlon Energy Ltd has made its debut in the Global 100 Index 2026, recognized as one of the world's greenest companies due to its substantial growth in sustainable revenue, which increased from INR 59.5 billion in 2022 to INR 108.5 billion by 2024. The company, which transitioned from wind to solar energy in 2016, achieved a momentum score of 77.8% and generates 100% of its revenue from low carbon products. The index highlighted a rise in Asia Pacific firms focused on sustainability, increasing from 22 to 27.

Suzlon Energy Ltd has debuted in the Global 100 Index 2026, ranking among the world's greenest companies. The company's sustainable revenue grew from INR 59.5 billion (US$647 million) in 2022 to INR 108.5 billion (US$1.2 billion) by 2024, achieving a momentum score of 77.8%.
This growth is attributed to its commitment to clean energy, with 100% of its revenue derived from low carbon products. Suzlon, originally a wind energy firm, expanded into solar in 2016 with 210 MW of projects in Telangana, India.
The Global 100 Index evaluated 8,359 companies against 25 sustainability indicators. Taiwan High Speed Rail Corp was recognized as the greenest company in Asia Pacific, while ERG SpA topped the global list. The index noted an increase in Asia Pacific firms, from 22 to 27, reflecting the region's growing focus on sustainability.
