Swiss Federal Railways Seeks Bids for AiNET Program to Upgrade Data Network
Swiss Federal Railways (SBB) is inviting bids for its new data network, AiNET, to replace the aging Datacom-NG system. Contracts for integrator, technology supplier, and service provider roles will be awarded, with works starting in Q2 2027 and maintenance beginning in Q1 2028. The upgrade aims to enhance critical applications for train operations. Additionally, SECO is seeking bids for a new Tier IV data center to replace its aging facility near Bern.

Concurrently, the State Secretariat for Economic Affairs (SECO) is inviting bids for a new Tier IV data center to replace its current facility near Bern.
