Symbiotics Invests $4M in Platinum Credit Uganda to Boost Financial Inclusion
Symbiotics has invested $4 million in Platinum Credit Uganda to enhance financial inclusion and support MSME lending across the country. The investment aims to scale financing for low-income households and micro, small, and medium enterprises, which represent over 90% of Uganda's private sector. Disbursed on December 22, 2025, the funds will help launch new loan products and improve access to credit for marginalized groups, benefiting over 100,000 clients nationwide.

Symbiotics invested $4 million in Platinum Credit Uganda to enhance financial inclusion and support the growth of its MSME portfolio. The investment targets low-income households and MSMEs, which make up over 90% of Uganda's private sector but often lack access to traditional financial systems.
The funding was disbursed on December 22, 2025, and will enable Platinum Credit to expand its loan products. This initiative aims to provide working capital for entrepreneurs and improve access to flexible credit for low- and middle-income households, directly impacting community resilience. Currently, Platinum Credit serves over 100,000 clients, with a focus on marginalized groups.
