Syntholene Energy Corp Appoints Steve Oldham to Board of Directors to Advance Synthetic Fuel Technology

Syntholene Energy Corp has appointed Steve Oldham, former CEO of Carbon Engineering and Captura Corp, to its Board of Directors. Oldham has a notable history in the climate-tech sector, raising over $100 million for Carbon Engineering and facilitating its sale to Occidental Petroleum in 2023 for $1.6 billion.

His experience includes advancing carbon removal technologies and securing commercial partnerships. Oldham will support Syntholene's strategic development, technology roadmap, and project partnerships, particularly in its Hybrid Thermal Production System aimed at producing ultrapure synthetic jet fuel at a 70% lower cost than competitors. Syntholene has secured 20MW of energy for its upcoming demonstration facility as it works towards the commercialization of carbon-neutral synthetic fuels.
