Taiwan Launches Cultural CubeSat with Royal Boat Wood into Space
Taiwan's CubeSat carrying wood from a royal boat was launched into orbit on SpaceX's Falcon 9, marking a cultural milestone. This mission emphasizes the intersection of local traditions with technological innovation and interdisciplinary education.

The CubeSat, part of the 'Wang Ye Goes to Space' mission, was launched from Vandenberg Space Force Base during SpaceX's Transporter-17 mission. It contains wood from a royal boat associated with the Donggang King Boat Festival, representing Taiwan's cultural heritage in space.
This initiative, organized by the Ministry of Education and several academic and local partners, illustrates the integration of folk traditions with modern technology. The mission aims to enhance interdisciplinary education and promote AI and technology skills among students. It also serves as a model for merging cultural preservation with space engineering, providing tangible learning opportunities for future professionals.
