Tajikistan and World Bank Discuss Transport Sector Cooperation in Washington
On March 11, Tajikistan's Transport Minister Azim Ibrohim met with World Bank officials Charles Cormier and Shomik Raj Mehndiratta in Washington, D.C. to discuss cooperation and support for key economic sectors. Ibrohim highlighted the Rogun Hydropower Plant project as a national priority for Tajikistan. The meeting was part of the Transport Transformation 2026 ministerial conference held from March 10-11.

On March 11, Azim Ibrohim, Tajikistan's Minister of Transport, met with World Bank officials Charles Cormier and Shomik Raj Mehndiratta in Washington, D.C. to discuss collaboration and support for Tajikistan's economy. Ibrohim emphasized the importance of the Rogun Hydropower Plant project as a national priority, indicating that future transport sector proposals would consider its significance.
This meeting occurred during the Transport Transformation 2026 ministerial conference, which took place on March 10-11 at World Bank headquarters. The Tajik delegation included Ibrohim, Vali Makhsum, and Usmon Siddikov.
