TakeMe2Space Targets $55 Million for 50-kW Orbital Data Center Development
Indian startup TakeMe2Space aims to raise $55 million for a 50-kilowatt orbital data center following a $5 million seed round. The initiative focuses on establishing a scalable compute infrastructure critical for future satellite operations and AI data processing.

TakeMe2Space plans to establish a 50-kilowatt orbital data center with a funding goal of $55 million, following a $5 million seed round earlier this year. The company, founded by Ronak Kumar Samantray in late 2024, aims to demonstrate capabilities in the emerging orbital data center market.
Its first satellite, launched in December 2024, tested onboard systems and supported three customers in AI model inferencing. A subsequent mission in October will deploy a six-unit cubesat with Nvidia technology, while a 2027 launch will feature a 100-kilogram satellite constellation.
The satellites will also provide 100 terabytes of data storage, catering to sectors like agriculture and insurance. As launch costs decrease by 2029, demand for AI training datasets is expected to rise.
