TalusAg, CFS, and CleanCounts to Establish Green Ammonia Production Facilities in Minnesota

AMMONIA

TalusAg, Central Farm Service (CFS), and CleanCounts are collaborating to create green ammonia production facilities in Minnesota, aimed at providing affordable, locally sourced fertilizer to farmers. The project involves producing 40 tons of ammonia daily, sufficient for more than 100,000 acres, and is pending support from the Renewable Development Account during the 2026 legislative session.

CleanCounts will oversee emissions tracking for the ammonia production process. This initiative addresses the rising costs of fertilizer, which have increased over 300% in recent years and strengthens supply chain resilience for U.S. farmers, who face geopolitical supply chain challenges.
