Taokaenoi Food & Marketing PCL has collaborated with SCG Chemicals and Dow Thailand Group to transform seaweed snack packaging through the Food Grade Circular Packaging by Advanced Recycling Technology initiative. This partnership seeks to tackle plastic waste in Thailand using a closed loop recycling system, the first of its kind in ASEAN.

The project will process multi-layer plastic packaging waste from Taokaenoi's operations, which is difficult to recycle, into circular feedstock using SCGC's technology. Dow Thailand will then produce high-quality, food-grade circular plastic resins for reuse in packaging, with commercial availability anticipated by the end of 2026.
