TAQA Morocco Reports 2.2% Revenue Decline in 2025 Amid Coal Price and Currency Pressures

TAQA Morocco's consolidated revenue in 2025 reached MAD 10,638 million ($1.06 billion), a decrease of 2.2% from MAD 10,878 million ($1.09 billion) in 2024, driven by maintenance on Unit 6, fluctuating coal prices, and a negative USD/MAD exchange rate. Q4 revenue was MAD 2,680 million ($268 million), down from MAD 2,744 million ($274.4 million) in 2024.

The company maintained a global availability rate of 92.1% despite a minor overhaul. Investment dropped to MAD 265 million ($26.5 million) in 2025. TAQA Morocco, the largest private power producer in Morocco, expanded its operations by joining a $14 billion consortium for renewable energy and desalination projects.
