The project, located within the Silver Cup Mining District, is under renewed scrutiny for critical minerals, responding to a federal investment of up to $400 million in nearby Teck's Trail Smelter.
Taranis is enhancing its NI 43-101 Mineral Resource reporting to include critical metals, in addition to existing silver, gold, copper, lead, and zinc. The current resource database lacks completeness for some critical metals due to past low demand for domestic polymetallic resources.
Additional tests are focusing on germanium from stored drill core samples. Fieldwork is also ongoing to evaluate four high-priority targets and various old mines within the expanded project area.
