Tata Consultancy Services Partners with OpenAI for AI Data Centers in India, Plans Further Tech Collaborations
Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) has entered an agreement with OpenAI to construct AI data centers in India and is pursuing additional partnerships with other tech giants. TCS CEO K Krithivasan stated that India will require approximately 10 gigawatts of AI data center capacity by 2030, while only 5-6 gigawatts have been announced so far. TCS plans to invest $1 billion into the data center project, with a total estimated cost of $7-8 billion, leveraging partnerships for financing. The company aims to offer comprehensive AI services to clients, despite recent challenges in IT spending amidst a shift towards AI investments.
