Tata Power Acquires 1,125 MW Dorjilung Hydro Project in Bhutan

Tata Power has acquired Dorjilung Hydro Power Limited (DHPL), which is developing a 1,125 MW hydroelectric power project in Bhutan. The acquisition is structured through cash consideration, with the first payment completed and the remaining tranches to be paid over a six-year period.
This project supports Tata Power's clean energy transition strategy. DHPL was incorporated on December 8, 2025, and has no prior financial records. The transaction does not involve related party provisions, and no Indian governmental or regulatory approvals are required.
