Taural India Opens ₹500 Crore Aluminium Sand-Casting Plant in Pune
Taural India has commenced operations at a new ₹500 crore aluminium sand-casting plant in Supa, Pune, increasing capacity to 1,500 tonnes. The facility targets sectors such as defence, EV, and energy, with plans to double turnover to ₹1,000 crore in five years. It will produce custom components weighing between 20 kg and 1,000 kg, serving various industries. This is Taural's second plant, expanding upon an existing facility in Chakan with a capacity of 300 tonnes, as demand rises in India's foundry production.

Taural India has launched a new aluminium sand-casting plant in Supa, Pune, with an investment of ₹500 crore, increasing its production capacity to 1,500 tonnes. This facility will manufacture custom aluminium components for sectors including defence, electric vehicles, and energy.
The company, a joint venture between Gitte and Thoni Alutec Group, aims to double its turnover to ₹1,000 crore in five years. The new plant has an initial order backlog allowing for 60% capacity utilization.
The existing plant in Chakan has a capacity of 300 tonnes and supplies to major OEMs like Hitachi Energy and Siemens Energy. Approximately 18% of production is exported to markets including the US and Europe.
