TDK Corp to Invest INR 4,000 Crore in Haryana for Battery Energy Storage Unit
TDK Corp. plans to invest INR 4,000 crore in Haryana to establish a battery energy storage unit. The investment aims to support India's renewable energy capacity and is part of TDK's strategy to expand its medium-capacity battery business. A delegation met Haryana officials during the Bharat Electricity Summit 2026 to discuss the project, which is expected to create jobs and further enhance Haryana's industrial ecosystem.

TDK Corp. will invest INR 4,000 crore in Haryana for a battery energy storage unit, enhancing India's renewable energy capacity. A delegation from TDK met Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini at the Bharat Electricity Summit 2026 to discuss the establishment of the Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) unit.
This facility aims to support grid stability and reduce reliance on fossil fuels. TDK already operates a lithium-ion battery plant in Sohna, producing batteries for consumer electronics. The investment is also expected to generate employment and strengthen Haryana's industrial ecosystem, aligning with the state's goal of becoming a clean energy manufacturing hub.
