Teckentrup Implements Electric Forklift Fleet to Enhance Sustainable Door Production
Teckentrup's integration of 30 Clark electric forklifts at its German facility aims to improve production efficiency and reduce emissions. This initiative is part of a broader strategy focused on sustainability and meeting rising demand for specialized door systems.

Teckentrup has deployed a fleet of 30 electric forklifts at its Großzöberitz factory, producing 1,500 to 2,000 steel doors weekly. The investment aligns with the company's strategy to enhance efficiency and sustainability, featuring a rooftop solar PV installation generating part of its electricity.
The fleet includes 27 Clark GEX 20-30 models, one GEX 50, and newly introduced SE20 and SE30 forklifts, used for various logistical tasks. Teckentrup opted for lead-acid batteries over lithium-ion due to operational cost-effectiveness.
Safety, ergonomics, and productivity were key considerations in procurement. This move positions Teckentrup to better meet increasing market demand while minimizing environmental impact.
