Tecto Data Center is planning to expand its Mega Lobster facility in Praia do Futuro, Fortaleza, from an initial capacity of 4 megawatts (MW) to 8 MW by early 2027. This follows the inauguration of the Mega Lobster (TFOR3) in October 2025.

The expansion will be financed by a R$ 233.46 million loan from BNDES. The company has already seen its other two data centers reach full capacity, indicating strong demand in the market. The expansion will not impact employment in operations but is expected to generate 100 temporary construction jobs.

Mega Lobster is integrated with critical infrastructure, enhancing connectivity for local tech companies, facilitating their expansion into Latin America. Tecto is also preparing for future demands in artificial intelligence, with an emphasis on low latency data transfer.
