Teesport Offshore Gateway to Support UK's Offshore Wind by 2028
PD Ports announces the Teesport Offshore Gateway, a facility on the River Tees, to support the UK's offshore wind program and is positioned to be operational by 2028. The project aims to generate £270 million GVA annually and create over 2,200 jobs, while enhancing offshore wind manufacturing and assembly capabilities. The facility will be the UK's largest offshore wind port, featuring significant deep-water access and extensive supporting land.

PD Ports has confirmed the Teesport Offshore Gateway as a key facility for the UK's offshore wind sector, with operations expected by 2028. This deep-water manufacturing and assembly port will support new North Sea license plots projected to deliver 6GW of capacity.
The facility will contribute £270 million GVA annually and create over 2,200 jobs. It will include berths up to 1km long, with a depth of 16m and 300 acres of land. The project integrates with existing offshore wind infrastructure and is backed by advanced discussions with industry partners. PD Ports is engaging with stakeholders to finalize the investment framework.
