Telenor has agreed to acquire a majority stake in Bahnhof, making it the second-largest fixed broadband provider in Sweden. The acquisition involves a mandatory cash offer of 62 SEK per share, reflecting a total valuation of Bahnhof at 6.1 billion SEK.
Bahnhof currently serves over 500,000 residential customers and around 15,000 business clients and operates five data centers. Telenor expects significant synergies from this acquisition, projecting an increase in annual EBITDA averaging 0.7 billion SEK over the first four years, despite integration costs of 0.1 billion SEK. The completion of the deal is pending regulatory approvals and is anticipated within four to eight months.
