Tenerife Launches 'Tenerife Space Horizon' to Become Atlantic Aerospace Hub
Tenerife has launched 'Tenerife Space Horizon', an initiative aimed at positioning the island as a leading Atlantic aerospace hub, with plans to create over 500 jobs and attract around 79 million euros in investment over the next five years. The strategy focuses on enhancing technological infrastructure, promoting research and innovation, and fostering national and international partnerships, building on the island's existing scientific strengths, including the Instituto de Astrofísica de Canarias. Key projects include the development of a satellite constellation and the ESA BIC Canarias program.
