DATA AND AI INFRASTRUCTURE
TensorWave, a Las Vegas-based startup, is collaborating with GSMA, AT&T, and AMD as a launch partner for the Open Telco AI initiative. The initiative aims to create specialized telecommunications-grade AI models to tackle real-world telecom challenges.
TensorWave will supply 8,000 AMD GPUs for training these models. The project involves over 46 organizations from more than 35 countries. TensorWave recently secured $43 million in seed funding and $100 million in Series A funding, marking record amounts in Nevada's startup history. CEO Darrick Horton aims to deploy 1 million GPUs, challenging Nvidia's AI infrastructure dominance.
