Terna Invests $69.98 Million to Restructure Riccione's Electricity Grid
Terna has allocated approximately $69.98 million to enhance the electricity grid in Riccione, impacting eight municipalities. The project aims to improve system safety and efficiency, especially during peak summer demand due to tourism.

Terna's restructuring project for the electricity grid in Riccione will affect eight municipalities in the Romagna area, including Coriano. The first phase involves laying 8 km of underground cables and installing three new poles, set to last about one year.
Initial work will occur on Viale Ascoli Piceno, Viale Toscana, Via Empoli, and Viale Sardegna, requiring temporary construction sites and traffic management. Subsequently, interventions will address the Riccione Electrical Substation and Primary Cabin, contributing to environmental benefits.
The project will eliminate over 40 km of overhead lines and 171 pylons, freeing 130 hectares of land from electrical infrastructure. Coordination with local authorities aims to minimize traffic disruption during this extensive undertaking.
