Terna to Build Poglianasca Electric Station in Nerviano for Milan Data Centers
Terna plans to invest nearly €80 million in constructing the Poglianasca Electric Station in Nerviano, Milan. This initiative follows the Ministry of Environment and Energy Security's authorization for two projects on the National Transmission Network. The station will utilize compact, low-land-use technology to reduce its footprint by approximately 40% compared to traditional stations and will connect to the existing Turbigo ST - Ospiate line.

Terna is set to build the Poglianasca Electric Station in Nerviano, Milan, with an investment of nearly €80 million. This project aims to support future data centers in the northwest Milan metropolitan area, following the Ministry of Environment and Energy Security's approval of two National Transmission Network projects.
The station will feature compact technology, reducing the overall footprint by about 40% compared to conventional stations. It will be linked to the existing Turbigo ST - Ospiate line via two new aerial connections. Environmental mitigation efforts will include planting along a wooded perimeter to blend with the local landscape.
