Terra One and INTILION Launch 30MWh Battery Storage in Tangerhütte
Terra One and INTILION GmbH are collaborating on a 15 MW / 30 MWh battery storage project in Tangerhütte, with construction set to begin in July 2026. The project aims to enhance regional energy stability and supports the integration of renewable energy sources.

A new battery storage system with a capacity of 30 MWh is being developed in Tangerhütte, Saxony-Anhalt, through a partnership between Terra One and INTILION GmbH. Following the granting of necessary permits, the project transitions into its implementation phase with an EPC contract awarded to INTILION.
The battery system will operate independently from existing generation facilities, facilitating flexible deployment in the electricity market. Construction is expected to commence in July 2026, with commissioning targeted for the end of the same year.
This initiative not only strengthens regional energy infrastructure but also positions Saxony-Anhalt as a key market for large-scale battery storage in Germany. The collaboration may pave the way for future joint projects in this sector.
