Terrafame Reports Increased EBITDA in 2025 Amid Market Challenges and Strategic Developments
Terrafame's EBITDA rose to EUR 44.0 million in Q4 2025, despite a challenging market with fluctuating metal prices. Full-year net sales were EUR 556.1 million, reflecting a 2.1% increase year-on-year. The company reported an operating loss of EUR -35.0 million for the year. Major operational achievements included record nickel production and improved cost efficiency. Terrafame's updated strategy for 2026-2030 aims to secure cash flow and reduce dependency on nickel prices. Challenges include a rejected mining permit for the Kolmisoppi area and new mineral taxes effective 2026.

Production volumes exceeded expectations, with a record in nickel production. The updated strategy for 2026-2030 focuses on securing cash flow and diversifying products to mitigate nickel price volatility.
However, Terrafame encountered challenges, including a rejected mining permit for Kolmisoppi and the introduction of higher mineral taxes in 2026. The company has initiated a cash flow improvement program, achieving EUR 70 million in savings by early 2026.
