Tetra Pak and Cycliq Launch Africa's First Recycled PolyAl E-Pallet
Tetra Pak has partnered with South African company Cycliq to introduce Africa's first locally-manufactured E-Pallet, made from recycled poly-aluminium material. This initiative, developed over four years, aims to enhance sustainability in packaging and has achieved a recycling rate of over 20% for Liquid Board Packaging by mid-2024.

Tetra Pak and Cycliq have launched Africa's first locally-manufactured E-Pallet, designed from recycled poly-aluminium (polyAl) material. This initiative is the result of a four-year collaboration aimed at enhancing the load-bearing capacity of pallets.
The E-Pallet utilizes recycled Liquid Board Packaging (LBP) and incorporates six PET straps from recycled beverage bottles, ensuring durability for various applications. Cycliq collaborated with Gayatri Paper Mills for polymer processing, contributing to Tetra Pak's goal of increasing LBP recycling rates to over 20% by mid-2024.
