Houston's investment of $5.5 million has facilitated the construction of a new 20,000-square-foot hangar at the Houston Spaceport, designated as a satellite campus for Texas Southern University's aviation program. This initiative supports over 200 students enrolled in the program, which has achieved record-breaking enrollment for the second consecutive year.
The hangar also accommodates 12 newly acquired aircraft, enhancing practical learning for students. This project underscores the alignment of education and industry, vital for workforce development in aviation.
