Texmaco Completes Commissioning of Hydro-Mechanical Systems for 2,000 MW Subansiri Lower Project
Texmaco Rail & Engineering has successfully completed the commissioning of hydro-mechanical systems for the 2,000 MW Subansiri Lower Hydroelectric Project on the Arunachal Pradesh-Assam border. As the sole contractor, Texmaco oversaw the design and implementation of essential systems for the project's eight generating units, each with a capacity of 250 MW. The commissioning process began in late 2025, with the first unit starting wet commissioning on October 24, 2025, and subsequent units scheduled for phased commissioning through FY27.

Texmaco Rail & Engineering has completed the commissioning of hydro-mechanical systems for the 2,000 MW Subansiri Lower Hydroelectric Project located on the Arunachal Pradesh-Assam border. As the sole hydro-mechanical contractor, Texmaco was responsible for the design, manufacture, supply, erection, testing, and commissioning of these systems, which are essential for the operation of the generating units.
The project consists of eight units, each with a capacity of 250 MW, contributing power to the national grid. Commissioning began in late 2025, with Unit 1 starting wet commissioning on October 24, 2025, and Unit 2 commencing commercial operation on December 23, 2025. The remaining units are scheduled for phased commissioning through FY27.
