TEXMiN and GSI Sign Agreement for Critical Mineral Exploration Research
TEXMiN, based in Dhanbad, has signed a memorandum of understanding with the Geological Survey of India (GSI) to collaborate on research and technology development in critical mineral exploration. The partnership is aimed at fostering innovation through advanced technologies and capacity building, including machine learning and AI applications in mineral prospectivity mapping. It will also involve pilot projects for mineral recovery and training initiatives.

TEXMiN, IIT(ISM) in Dhanbad, has entered into a collaboration with the Geological Survey of India (GSI) to enhance research and technology in critical mineral exploration. The memorandum of understanding focuses on deploying advanced technologies, including machine learning and AI, for mineral prospectivity mapping and the recovery of critical minerals.
The partnership aims to build capabilities in mineral exploration crucial for India's mineral security and includes third-party start-up involvement to accelerate innovation. Training and capacity building in the sector are also key components of the agreement.
