TG Metals Develops Enhanced Lithium Recovery Flowsheet for Burmeister Deposit

The new flowsheet is expected to reduce processing costs and create revenue through licensing agreements. A subsidiary, TG Metals Tech, has been established to commercialize the patent, which could lead to future international filings. The technology aims to restore lithium mineral selectivity and enhance overall recoveries, with potential applications in other operations.

TG Metals has developed a new spodumene recovery flowsheet utilizing integrated dense media separation (DMS) and flotation technology, enhancing lithium recovery and concentrate quality while lowering processing costs. A patent application has been filed to secure intellectual property rights for this process at the Burmeister deposit.
The company’s subsidiary, TG Metals Tech, will facilitate the commercialization of the patent through licensing agreements. This enhanced flowsheet aims to improve recoveries and may be applicable to other operations. The company plans to progress the patent application and prepare a maiden resource estimate for the Burmeister lithium deposit in Western Australia.
