Sarath Ratanavadi, Thailand's richest individual, is planning a substantial investment of 140 billion baht ($4.3 billion) via Gulf Development Pcl over the next five years. The initiative focuses on increasing data center capacity by up to 2,000 megawatts to meet the escalating demand for artificial intelligence and cloud computing services.
Currently, the company operates facilities with a combined capacity of approximately 200 megawatts. This strategic expansion reflects the growing importance of AI infrastructure in the region, highlighting potential competitive advantages in technology.
