Three Malaysian Researchers Win L'Oreal-Unesco For Women in Science Award 2025
Three Malaysian researchers were honored with the L'Oreal-Unesco For Women in Science Award in November 2025 for their innovative work in healthcare, clean energy, and mental health, each receiving RM30,000 to advance their projects. Notable contributions include Noorfatimah's machine-learning model for personalized antibiotic dosing, Dr. Tan Lling-Lling's sustainable fuel photocatalyst system, and Nurnadiah's mental health chatbot aimed at improving accessibility and informing policy. Since 2006, the initiative has supported 60 Malaysian women scientists, highlighting the significance of mentorship in STEM fields.
