Thyssenkrupp Uhde Wins BFI Ammonia Export Project in Brunei
Thyssenkrupp Uhde has secured a project to design ammonia export facilities for Brunei Fertilizer Industries, focusing on storage and logistics. This project enhances Brunei's role in the global fertilizer market and supports its energy transition goals.

Thyssenkrupp Uhde will design a cryogenic ammonia storage tank and develop export facilities for Brunei Fertilizer Industries (BFI), including jetty interfaces and pipelines. This project builds on previous collaborations, as Thyssenkrupp Uhde has provided technologies for BFI's ammonia and urea complex, which has a capacity of 2,200 metric tons of ammonia per day.
The new facilities aim to increase BFI's competitiveness in the global fertilizer market and address rising demands for ammonia as a clean energy carrier. The expansion supports Brunei's contributions to global food security and strengthens its position in low-carbon energy value chains.
