Tigo Panamá is committing approximately $100 million annually to enhance its network infrastructure and deploy a new data center. This investment addresses the significant rise in internet consumption, which has increased eightfold over the past five years.

Tigo Panamá is maintaining a sustained investment of around $100 million each year in network infrastructure and fiber optic expansion. Weekly investments average $2 million, aimed at increasing coverage and improving network capacity.
The company has been actively deploying fiber optics since before the pandemic, connecting between 60,000 and 100,000 homes annually. Internet consumption in Panama has grown eight times in five years, driven by high-resolution video and live streaming. This growth emphasizes the need for robust infrastructure to meet the escalating demand for digital services.
