TildeOpen Launches Open-Source AI Model for European Languages on Hugging Face
TildeOpen, an open-source foundational AI model for European languages, has been made public for translation and work purposes. Developed by Tilde for the European Commission, it features 30 billion parameters and was trained on hundreds of billions of words, including 29 billion Latvian text units. This model represents the largest dataset used for Latvian AI development, following Tilde's success in the Large AI Grand Challenge and utilizing the LUMI supercomputer in Finland.
