Tilted Gate LLC is planning a 500,000 sq ft data center in Scioto County, Ohio, specifically in the Franklin Furnace area. The project, valued at $1 billion, could benefit from a 75 percent tax abatement for 15 years under a payment in lieu of taxes agreement.

The Scioto County commission will vote on the abatement on January 22. Discussions have been ongoing with a Fortune 100 tech company since mid-2024. Additionally, New Day Data Centers LLC is proposing a data center at the former Portsmouth Gaseous Diffusion Plant in nearby Pike County, which is undergoing decontamination. The site was previously used for uranium production and is among federal locations identified for rapid data center construction.
