Town of Potsdam Receives $675,000 State Grant for Postwood Park Upgrades

The Town of Potsdam received a $675,000 grant from the state's Regional Economic Development Council for upgrades to Postwood Park. Planned enhancements include making the park more accessible with an overlook, new recreation courts, an amphitheater, and renovations to current pathways.

The funding is part of a $463 million initiative statewide, which supports nearly 400 projects aimed at economic growth. Other local grants include $50,000 for Canton for stormwater infrastructure assessment, $380,000 for Empire State Mines for graphite production, and $212,500 for Ogdensburg for waterfront revitalization.
