Toyota to Launch Second Circular Factory in Poland by 2026
Toyota will establish its second circular factory in Poland, set to open in 2026, aiming to process 20,000 end-of-life vehicles annually. This initiative is part of a broader strategy to enhance sustainability and meet evolving European regulations on recycling and materials recovery.

Toyota's new circular factory at the Wałbrzych plant in Poland is expected to begin operations in 2026, processing 20,000 end-of-life vehicles per year. This facility will focus on recovering materials such as copper, steel, aluminium, and plastics for new vehicle production, doubling the capacity of its UK counterpart.
The initiative aligns with Toyota's Environmental Challenge 2050, aimed at achieving carbon neutrality in Europe by 2040. The upcoming EU End-of-Life Vehicle Regulation (ELVR) may drive increased accountability in recycling processes, presenting both challenges and opportunities for the automotive industry.
