Trafo Power Solutions Supplies Transformers for Pakistani Mining Project
Trafo Power Solutions is enhancing power infrastructure for a mining project in Pakistan's Chagai district, supplying 13 dry-type transformers. These units are designed for extreme conditions, ensuring reliability and minimal maintenance in a remote location with high ambient temperatures.

Trafo Power Solutions is providing 13 dry-type transformers to a mining project in Pakistan's Chagai district, known for its significant copper-gold reserves. The transformers, including units rated from 5 kVA to 1,000 kVA, are engineered for high temperatures exceeding 50 degrees Celsius.
Manufacturing occurred in South Africa and Italy, with factory acceptance testing conducted by Trafo Power Solutions. Additionally, 18 neutral earth resistors (NERs) are included, designed to operate under similar extreme conditions.
The reliability and low maintenance needs of dry-type transformers reduce total ownership costs, a critical factor for remote operations. Trafo's ongoing technical support will aid in the installation and commissioning phases.
