Transgrid and Lumea Enhance Mobile Connectivity with Boosters Along HumeLink Project
Transgrid and Lumea will deploy up to 10 mobile signal boosters on transmission towers for the HumeLink project in regional NSW. This initiative aims to improve mobile reception for various stakeholders, addressing long-standing connectivity issues in the area.

Transgrid and Lumea are set to install up to 10 mobile signal boosters on electricity transmission towers as part of the HumeLink project in New South Wales. The HumeLink project involves a 500kV transmission line connecting Wagga Wagga, Bannaby, and Maragle across a 365km corridor.
So far, boosters have been successfully installed at Myrtleville and Chatsbury, with capabilities to capture signals from 20km away and serve communities within a three-kilometre radius. This enhancement aims to resolve persistent mobile blackspots, benefiting residents, businesses, and emergency services, which could lead to improved safety and operational efficiency in the region.
