HYDROGENAMMONIA

Transpetrol has placed an order for two LPG carriers at HD Hyundai Samho in South Korea, valued at KRW340.2 billion ($230.7 million). The ships will be designed for ammonia transportation, aligning with industry trends towards ammonia as a marine fuel and hydrogen carrier.

This deal reinforces Transpetrol's ongoing collaboration with HD Hyundai, following past orders for very large gas carriers. Additionally, Transpetrol has contracted Hyundai Vietnam Shipbuilding for four LR2 product tankers, further expanding its fleet, which currently includes around 15 vessels.
