Trina Storage and Tianneng Group Sign GWh-Scale Agreements for Energy Projects in Italy and Malaysia
Trina Storage has partnered with Aer Soléir to develop a 250MW/1000MWh energy storage plant in Italy, utilizing its Elementa 2 Pro battery system. Meanwhile, Tianneng Group is collaborating with VCI Global Limited to establish a 1GWh solar-plus-storage facility in Melaka, Malaysia, aimed at supplying zero-carbon electricity to AI Data Centers, with the first phase covering 600 acres and featuring 250MW of solar capacity.

Trina Storage has signed an agreement with Aer Soléir to construct a 250MW/1000MWh energy storage plant in Italy's Turin region, part of the Italian Capacity Market Auction for 2027. Trina will supply its Elementa 2 Pro liquid-cooled battery system, along with advanced Power Conversion Systems and a 20-year Long-Term Service Agreement.
In Southeast Asia, Tianneng Group has partnered with VCI Global Limited to develop a 1GWh solar-plus-storage power plant in Melaka, Malaysia. The first phase will cover 600 acres with 250MW of solar capacity and a liquid-cooled storage system, using an EPC+F model to facilitate Power Purchase Agreements. The project aims to provide zero-carbon electricity to Artificial Intelligence Data Centers, addressing rising energy demands and has secured access to local 275kV substation resources.
