Tripatra Completes Revamping of Indonesia's Oldest Ammonia Plant to Reduce Carbon Emissions
PT Tripatra Engineers and Constructors has completed the revamping of the Ammonia Plant-2 for PT Pupuk Kalimantan Timur. This project aims to enhance production efficiency, reduce gas consumption, and lower carbon emissions. The revamping is expected to cut carbon emissions by approximately 110,000 tons CO₂ equivalent annually and supports Indonesia's goal of net zero emissions by 2060.

PT Tripatra has completed the revamping of Ammonia Plant-2 for PT Pupuk Kalimantan Timur, marking a significant step in Indonesia's fertilizer industry revitalization program. Established in 1984, this plant is crucial for national fertilizer production.
The project enhances energy efficiency and reduces gas consumption by over 10%, projected to lower annual carbon emissions by around 110,000 tons CO₂ equivalent. It includes digital control systems to improve operational reliability. This initiative aligns with the Indonesian government's net zero emissions target by 2060 and strengthens food security.
