Tritton Copper Operations upgraded to the Metso MDM250 mill discharge pump, achieving a wear life increase from 1,200 to 2,184 hours and cutting rebuilds from seven to four annually. The site, processing up to 1.4 million tonnes of feed per year, plans to ramp up to 1.8 million tonnes.

The MDM250's hydraulic design improves efficiency by 20% and reduces seal water usage by about 74%. Installed in 2023, the pump was tailored to fit existing infrastructure, allowing for reduced modification costs and enhanced operational reliability.
