Trontek to Create 500+ Jobs by FY27 Amid Expansion in Lithium-Ion Battery Manufacturing
Trontek, an Indian lithium-ion battery manufacturer, plans to expand its operations and create over 500 jobs by FY27. The initiative will boost its workforce from 967 to nearly 1,400, focusing on production, battery engineering, R&D, and service operations. This expansion aligns with the growing demand in India's energy storage and EV sectors, particularly in electric two- and three-wheelers, and rooftop solar installations. Trontek will enhance its R&D capabilities, particularly in battery-management systems and safety engineering, while also introducing training programs for specialized skills.

Trontek is expanding its manufacturing operations to create over 500 jobs by FY27, increasing its workforce from 967 to nearly 1,400. This growth is driven by rising demand in India's energy storage and electric mobility sectors, particularly for electric two- and three-wheelers, and rooftop solar installations.
The expansion will focus on production, quality systems, and battery engineering, with a significant emphasis on enhancing in-house R&D capabilities in areas such as battery-management systems and thermal-safety engineering. Trontek will also implement technical-training programs to develop specialized skills in lithium-ion assembly and energy-storage systems.
