TrueNAS Introduces V160: Scalable Storage Solution Amid Rising Flash Prices
TrueNAS launches the V160, enabling enterprises to manage storage cost-effectively amid a 300% increase in flash memory prices. This system supports over 35 PiB of raw capacity in hybrid or all-flash configurations, catering to diverse workloads without unexpected costs.

TrueNAS has unveiled the V160, a storage solution designed to scale beyond 35 PiB of raw capacity in both hybrid and all-flash configurations. This development addresses industry challenges posed by a 300% surge in flash memory prices, particularly due to heightened demand from AI infrastructure.
The V160 supports over 1,400 drives and offers configurations that can adapt to changing flash prices without requiring a complete system overhaul. It is equipped with dual-controller high availability and can achieve bandwidths of up to 60 GB/s with 400GbE connectivity.
The system is fully licensed from launch, avoiding per-TB fees and unexpected renewal costs. This flexible architecture is poised to impact enterprise storage economics significantly, especially for organizations managing diverse workloads, from AI to media production.
